The Zero Fighters

The 2016 Winter Wonder Festival saw the introduction of these 3 models. Each represents historical aircraft fighters of the Japanese Navy. The models include rivets, tank water bottle, a propeller and specific markings for the type of aircraft. Each of the packaging incorporates the image of the deck of Akagi Aircraft Carrier can be used as it is as the display base.

The Zero Battle Type 52 Version

The Zero Fighter 52 dominated the Japanese Navy in the second half of the Pacific War. The Zero is considered to have been the most capable carrier-based fighter in the world when it was introduced early in World War II, combining excellent manoeuvrability and very long range.

The Zero Battle Type 21 Version

The type 21 version was used by the Japanese Navy from 1940. On this model they introduced folding wingtips to allow them to fit on aircraft carriers. They became one of the most produced versions early in the war. The image on the left shows the A6M2 “Zero” Model 21 of Shōkaku (Japanese aircraft carrier) prior to attack on Pearl Harbor, 7 December 1941.
